Digital File Add-On

A digital file copy is one of the most popular additions to a commission, particularly for Pet & Baby Announcement Portraits.

Your high-resolution artwork file will be emailed directly to you as soon as your portrait has been completed and approved, allowing you to share your artwork with friends and family straight. 

For international clients, a digital file is especially recommended as shipping can sometimes take a little longer. This means you'll have your artwork ready to enjoy and share while your physical portrait makes its way to you.

Many clients choose this option so they can announce a pregnancy, birth or special milestone immediately, without having to wait for delivery.

Turnaround Time

Please allow approximately 4–5 weeks from placing your order for your portrait to be completed.

Once your artwork is finished, additional time should be allowed for printing, mounting, framing (where applicable) and delivery.

For international orders, shipping times can vary depending on location and customs processing, so please allow extra time for your artwork to arrive.

During particularly busy periods, such as Christmas, turnaround times may be longer. If your portrait is intended as a gift, I would always recommend ordering as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

If you require your artwork sooner, a limited Priority Service may be available for an additional fee. Please contact Siân directly before placing your order to discuss availability.

A Few Things To Note

• Up to 2 sketch revisions are included.

• Additional sketch revisions are charged at £25 each.

• Due to the nature of traditional painting, changes cannot  be made once painting has begun.

• Delayed responses or additional revision requests may extend turnaround times.

• All artwork is custom-made and therefore non-refundable once work has commenced.

• All artwork and digital files are supplied for personal use only.

• Copyright remains with Siân Alexia Paine at all times.

• Artwork and digital files may not be copied, reproduced, altered, resold, redistributed, used for merchandise, commercial purposes, AI training, machine learning datasets or AI-generated content without prior written permission.

• Commercial licensing may be available separately upon request.

Shipping to EU Countries

We’re pleased to offer shipping to customers in EU countries under the IOSS scheme. For orders shipped to EU countries with a total value under €150 (excluding taxes and delivery), all applicable taxes and duties will be calculated and paid at checkout.

This means the price you see in your cart is the final price—no additional fees or unexpected charges upon delivery.

Our pieces are all printed to order and as such we have a no refund policy.

Please note that we cannot issue any refunds for the products you have purchased.

A5 and A4 are standard UK print sizes. Measurements can be found below:

A5, 148 x 210mm (5.8 x 8.3 inches)

A4, 210 x 297mm (8.3 x 11.7 inches)

How It Works

  • 1. Place Your Order

    Select your preferred artwork size and personalise your portrait with any optional extras, including additional pets or a digital file copy, before completing your order.

  • 2. Work Directly With Siân

    Once your order has been placed, Siân will personally reach out via email with guidance on the photos needed for your portrait. From there, you'll work together to discuss any meaningful details you'd like incorporated into your artwork.

  • 3. Sketch Approval

    Siân will create a draft sketch for your approval before painting begins. This gives you the opportunity to review the composition and request any amendments before moving forward.

  • 4. Hand-Painted In Siân's Cheshire Studio

    Once approved, your portrait will be hand-drawn and hand-painted by Siân using traditional watercolour and gouache. Due to the nature of traditional artwork, changes cannot be made once the final painting stage has begun.

  • 5. Printed, Mounted & Delivered

    Once complete, your artwork is professionally scanned and carefully prepared for print. It is then professionally reproduced on museum-quality fine art paper using archival inks, designed to last a lifetime. Finally, your portrait is professionally mounted to create a beautiful finished piece of artwork, ready to display and treasure for years to come.
